The Epson TM-m30II is a compact thermal printer widely used in restaurants, cafes, and retail. Proper setup ensures reliable printing of receipts, product tickets, cancellations, and reports.
Unbox the printer and verify all accessories:
Power adapter and cable
USB/Ethernet cable (if applicable)
Thermal paper roll
Load the paper roll:
Open the printer cover.
Insert the roll with the thermal side facing down.
Pull a small length of paper and close the cover.
Navigate to:
Settings → Printer Setup → Add Printer
Choose the connection type:
Bluetooth – Wireless connection to a POS device
WiFi – Connect the printer to your local network
Ethernet – Network cable connection (recommended for multiple POS devices)
USB – Direct connection to the POS terminal
Provide a nickname for the printer (e.g., Kitchen Printer, Counter Printer).
Select printer type:
80mm – Standard receipt width
48mm – Compact receipt width
Click Save Printer to register the printer in Fleksa POS.
Open the Printer List in Fleksa POS.
Click Assign next to the printer you just added.
Choose the relevant printer profile (e.g., Kitchen, Counter, Bar).
Save the assignment.
If you operate multiple POS devices, you can enable Cloud Printer:
Function: Allows the printer to receive print jobs from different devices and locations.
Use case: Ideal for taking orders directly from mobile devices at the table or from multiple POS terminals.
Print a test receipt to verify:
Paper alignment and cut function
Auto-print for product receipts (if configured in the profile)
Layout and font readability
Cash drawer operation (if enabled)
Use Ethernet or WiFi for stable printing in multi-terminal setups.
Assign different profiles for kitchen vs counter printers.
Regularly clean the thermal print head to prevent paper jams or faded prints.
Test auto-print, copy count, and paper cut before opening hours.
Use appropriate font size and paper cut settings based on printer location.
