This article explains how to quickly add products to the cart in Fleksa POS using the search function by entering either the SKU number or the product name.
Before you begin, ensure:
You are using Fleksa POS on Windows / Tablet / Android
Products are already created with correct SKU numbers
You have Cashier / Manager / Admin permissions
Your POS app is updated
Open the Fleksa POS app on your Windows PC, tablet, or Android device.
You can access the search function after choosing any order type:

On the top area of the menu/order screen, click on the Search Bar.
Type the exact SKU number assigned to the product.
Matching items will appear instantly.
Type the full or partial product name
(e.g., “Pizza”, “Coke”, “Burger”).
Click on the product from the search results.
It will be added to the cart immediately.
If the product has modifiers, a modifier popup will appear.
You can increase/decrease quantity directly in the cart.
You may also remove or modify the product if needed.
Issue: Product does not appear in search.
Solution: Check if the product is active and properly assigned to a category and SKU.
Issue: SKU search is not responding.
Solution: Verify the SKU is correctly saved in the product setup.
Issue: Wrong product appears.
Solution: Ensure no duplicate product names or SKU codes exist.
Use SKU search for fast checkout during peak hours.
Follow a consistent SKU format (e.g., BR01, DR02, PZ05).
Use name search when unsure of SKU or for long menus.
Encourage staff to use search for faster order processing.
Q: Can I add products using a barcode scan?
Yes — scanning a product barcode will automatically add it to the cart.
Q: Can I search using partial SKU?
Yes, partial SKU entries will also show relevant items.
Q: Do hidden/inactive products appear in search?
