How to Set Up Printer Profiles in Fleksa Point of Sales (POS)

Written by Bhushan

Printer profiles in Fleksa POS allow you to assign specific types of receipts and configure printing behaviour for each printer. Using profiles ensures smooth operations by directing the right printouts to the right printer, whether in the kitchen, at the counter, or the bar.

Navigation Path

Settings → Printer Settings → Profiles → Add Printer Profile

What Is a Printer Profile?

A Printer Profile defines:

  • Which printer prints what

  • Which types of receipts are enabled

  • Additional print behaviours like auto-printing, paper cut, or font size

Multiple profiles can be created to suit different workflows, ensuring that kitchen orders, counter receipts, and cancellations are printed correctly.

Creating a Printer Profile

Step 1: Open Printer Profiles

Go to Settings → Printer Settings → Profiles.

Step 2: Click “Add Printer Profile”

Enter a clear, descriptive name for the profile, such as:

  • Kitchen Printer

  • Cash Counter Printer

  • Bar Printer

Profile Configuration Options

Printer profiles include several sections. Each toggle or setting controls specific types of printouts.

Select whether the printer performs a full cut, partial cut, or no cut after printing.

  • Font Size
Adjust the text size on receipts (Small / Medium / Large) to ensure readability.

Assigning a Profile to a Printer

  1. Open the Printer List

  2. Select a printer

  3. Assign the created Printer Profile

A printer can have multiple profiles depending on operational needs.

Best Practices

  • Use a Kitchen Printer Profile exclusively for product receipts.

  • Assign a Counter Printer Profile for final receipts, Z/X reports, and cash drawer control.

  • Enable Cancellation Receipts for kitchen or bar printers if cancellations are frequent.

  • Adjust font size and paper cut according to printer type.

  • Test auto-print, copy number, and all toggles before going live.
