How to Add a Category in the Fleksa Partner Portal ?

This article explains how to create a new menu category in the Fleksa Partner Portal and how to configure its settings.


Steps to Add a New Category in the Fleksa Partner Portal

Step 1: Open the Partner Portal

Log in to your Fleksa Partner Portal.

Step 2: Go to Menu Management

  • Click on Menu in the left-side navigation bar.

You will see the following options:

  • Categories

  • Products

  • Product Bundles

  • Choices

  • Add-ons

Click Categories.

Step 3: Click “Add New”

  • Click on Add New to create a new category.

Step 4: Enter Basic Details

Fill in the following fields:

  • Category Name
    (e.g., Pizza, Salad, Pasta, Desserts, etc.)

  • Description (Optional)

  • Tax Rate
    Select the appropriate tax rate based on your region.


Category Customization Options

After entering the basic details, you will see several additional settings:


1. Inclusive Tax

If enabled:

  • Tax is already included in the final product price.

  • No separate tax line will be shown at checkout.


2. Unavailable (Show on Menu)

  • The category remains visible on the menu, but customers cannot order from it.

Example: “Coming Soon” category.


3. Always Available

  • Allows you to configure custom availability time slots for this category.

Example:
Breakfast category available from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.


4. Available Everyday

  • Select specific days when this category should be visible and orderable.

Example:
A Weekend Special category available only on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.


5. Available for All Order Types

Choose where this category should be available:

  • Delivery

  • Dine-in

  • Pickup

You can enable or disable any combination.


6. Out of Stock

  • Marks the entire category as Out of Stock.

  • All products inside this category will be marked unavailable.


7. Diverse Product

Used for temporary products that are not yet added to inventory.

Useful when:

  • You introduce a new dish suddenly

  • It’s not added to inventory yet

  • You still want to sell it in POS at any custom price

⚠️ Note:
Once the product is added to inventory, this option should no longer be used
