How to Set Up Table QR Codes
Generate unique QR codes for each table so customers can scan, browse your menu, and order directly from their phones.
How Table QR Codes Work
Customer scans the QR code at their table
Your restaurant's menu opens on their phone (no app needed)
They browse, customize, and place their order
The order appears on your POS and Kitchen Display
Payment is handled online — no waiting for the bill
Generating QR Codes
Set Up Tables in Partner Portal
Before generating QR codes, make sure your tables are configured:
Log into the Partner Portal
Go to Settings > Rooms & Tables
Add your rooms (e.g., "Main Floor", "Patio")
Add tables to each room with table numbers
Navigate to QR Codes
Go to Settings > QR Codes (or Table QR in some versions).
Generate QR Codes
Click Generate QR Codes. The system creates a unique QR code for each table that includes:
Your restaurant identifier
The specific table number
Direct link to the QR ordering page
Download or Print
You have several options:
Option | Best For |
Download All | Print on your own printer, custom sizes |
Print Individual | One table at a time |
Download PDF | Professional printing service |
Place QR Codes on Tables
Print and place the QR codes on each table. Tips for placement:
Table tents — Stand-up displays customers can easily see
Stickers — Affix directly to the table surface
Menu inserts — Include in physical menu holders
Wall mounts — For counter or bar seating
Testing Your QR Codes
Scan a QR Code
Use your phone camera to scan one of the generated QR codes.
Verify the Menu Loads
Confirm that:
Your restaurant name appears correctly
The correct table number is shown
The full menu is visible
Items can be added to cart
Place a Test Order
Complete a test order to verify the entire flow works from scan to kitchen.
Test from multiple devices (iPhone, Android) and browsers to ensure compatibility. QR ordering works as a web app — no download required.
Updating QR Codes
QR codes remain valid as long as the table exists. You only need to regenerate if:
You rename or renumber tables
You add new tables
You change your QR ordering domain
Existing QR codes for unchanged tables continue to work.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
QR code won't scan | Ensure print quality is clear; increase print size |
Wrong table shown | Regenerate QR code for that specific table |
Menu doesn't load | Check that QR ordering is enabled in Settings |
Orders not reaching POS | Verify POS is connected and QR ordering channel is active |
