Adjust timing thresholds based on your kitchen's speed. Fast-casual restaurants might set warning to 5 minutes, while fine dining might use 20 minutes.

Audio alerts require browser notification permissions. If sounds don't play, check that the browser allows notifications for the KDS domain. See Notifications troubleshooting.

Station Settings

Select Your Station

  1. Go to Settings → Station

  2. Choose your station from the list (Grill, Prep, Bar, etc.)

  3. Only items assigned to this station will appear on your screen

Large Touch Targets is especially useful in busy kitchens where staff wear gloves or have wet hands. Increases tap areas by 50%.

Reset to Defaults

To restore all settings to factory defaults:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Scroll to the bottom

  3. Tap Reset to Defaults

  4. Confirm the reset

Resetting clears all customizations including station selection, sound preferences, and saved filter presets. You'll need to reconfigure after resetting.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution

Settings not saving

Check that browser cookies are enabled for the KDS domain

No sound

Check device volume, then browser permissions. See Notifications

Settings reset on refresh

Cookies are being blocked — enable them for the KDS domain

Can't find a setting

Settings are organized by category — Display, Audio, Station, Behavior, Accessibility

Wrong station showing

Go to Settings → Station and reselect the correct station
