Order Card Layout

Each order appears as a card on the screen. Here's what each element means:

Element

Description

Order Number

Unique ID (e.g., #1234) — matches the receipt

Order Type

Icon showing Dine-in, Takeaway, Delivery, or QR Order

Table Number

For dine-in orders — helps runners find the right table

Timer

Time since the order was placed — changes color as time increases

Items

List of items to prepare with quantities

Special Notes

Customer modifications, allergies, or special requests

Always check Special Notes before preparing. Allergy information and dietary requests appear here. Missing these can cause serious issues.

Order Colors

Orders are color-coded by how long they've been waiting:

Color

Meaning

Action

White/Blue

New order, just arrived

Start preparing

Yellow

Exceeds warning time (default 10 min)

Speed up preparation

Red

Overdue (default 15 min)

Prioritize immediately

Green

Completed, ready for pickup

Bump to clear from screen

Time thresholds are configurable in Settings.

Display Modes

Grid View

Shows multiple orders side-by-side in a grid. Best for high-volume kitchens where you need to see many orders at once.

List View

Shows orders in a single column with more detail per order. Best for smaller operations or stations with complex items.

Station View

Shows only items assigned to your station (grill, prep, drinks, etc.). Items from other stations are hidden. See Station Routing.

The header shows your station name, current time, and connection status. The number of columns adjusts automatically based on screen size, or you can set it manually in Settings.

Reading Order Details

Item Modifiers

  • Bold text: Main item name

  • Regular text: Modifiers and extras (e.g., "extra cheese", "no onions")

  • ~~Strikethrough~~: Removed ingredients the customer doesn't want

Quantity Badges

  • 2x Burger = Two burgers needed

  • Items without a badge = quantity of 1

Tap an order card to see the full order details, including customer name and any notes that didn't fit on the card.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution

Orders not showing

Check filter settings — you may be filtering out order types

Text too small

Go to Settings → Display → increase font size

Screen cluttered

Enable compact card size in Settings, or filter to your station only

Colors not visible

Enable "High Contrast" in Settings → Accessibility

Cards overlapping

Reduce number of columns in Settings → Display
